Drinking too much

I know that I am not the only gay man alive that lusts after straight men. Whether it is the intrigue of the unattainable or the hope that runs rampant through our culture. .... I WANT A STRAIGHT MAN! And to that end I attribute the actions that I took last night. And as a result I am becoming the posterchild for a new nationwide movement ... "ERASE NUMBERS FROM YOUR CELL PHONE THAT WILL GET YOU IN TROUBLE IF YOU SHOULD DRUNK DIAL THEM!"

After drinking far too much yesterday (Happy st. patty's day buffalo), I came home and started seeing what I could get away with. I should hope to never run into the poor straight guy that I called last night. And all straight men should take this as a warning ... if a gay man is attracted to you ... and he drinks regularly ... don't give him your number unless you consider 1am propositions flattery.

Re-Vamp

I liken most things in life to a drug.

Some get you high. Some get you low. Some just get you.

The human scale of emotion is not a linear object. Depth and pattern are evident only on hindsight. It is the drugs in life that allow an "out-of-body" look at ourselves and those around us.

1. My friends
2. My Job
3. A good book
4. Speed (as in MPH)
5. Loud music - a good drummer makes this an even better high
6. Detatched and meaningless sex
7. Loving and completely engulfing sex
8. Honesty
9. Laughing
10. Getting away with breaking the rules
11. Shopping

Alas .... Drugs are motivation and addiction is about the chase not the outcome. Therefore ... anything coveted can translate into addiction. Me - I'm addicted to breathing and to my friends and to laughing and to sex and to beer and to gay.com. My motivations are so much more complicated that that list ... and I fear that one day someone will figure me out before I have even had the chance to do it myself.
